Pelybots Stories now live!

Why Pelybots Stories- the website? To fulfil an incessant need and desire to write creative stories, I had been posting stories to a WordPress account. However, despite my personal account having formatting and a formal page, I noticed that the pelybots WordPress account did not and would not allow it without buying a domain and creating something myself.

My wife and I had been looking to build our own websites for a few years, with some support of friends we'd subscribed to a hosting service.. and then not utilised it! Hence building this site fills a gap from the WordPress site and gives my wife and I an opportunity to develop our skills in Website design and building.

I'll keep the posts on the pelybots WordPress as I transition and was disappointed that it wasn't so easy to port the blogs over, as I had been told it would be. Again, it seemed I had to have a domain on the WordPress site (purchased!) to be able to port it over. As consequence, each individual story blog has been meticulously rebuilt here on this site.

However, in doing so I was rereading a few of the posts, noticing a few typos (corrected! I thought I'd caught then all first time of posting..) and spotting a few plot lines that I'd thrown out there, not followed up upon and indeed some I have plot lines in mind that would blatantly contradict! Thus a few minor tweaks have been made to some of the versions posted here. If I ever get famous or the site becomes popular, one day loyal fans will pour over the two versions to spot the differences. Oh I can dream!

My wife asked, "What's next (for the website) ? A fair question, firstly my aim is to maintain it! I would like to keep a regular cadence of new stories, especially new chapters for The Alternates storyline, though may need to cheat with the occasional short story thrown in to buy some time. I may expand to other areas and indeed I have placeholders for 'Pelybots: Star Wars' in appreciation of the droids from Star Wars, plus 'Pelybots: Classic Cars' in recognition of some of my favourite vehicles from TV shows and films (notably biased to the 80s!).

I’m launching with not one, not two, but three new stories especially created (or finished) for the launch of this website. The original planned 4th May Star Wars Crossover, that I couldn’t do for the 4th May, a short story that I’m not going to comment about (to be mysterious!) and finally the much planned Chapter 1 of the Alternates, over a year in planning.

I may even start serialising my own fiction, for which I have at least one idea in mind. In the meantime, I welcome all feedback good and bad as it's the only way to improve, especially if there’s any quirks or issues with the website build. Contact forms on various pages.
